We had so much fun exploring Bilbao with our squad. The hostel is super hip and offers bike hire, so we cruised around the city like bosses. The staff were chill and gave us all the deets on the best clubs and bars to hit up. The rooms were cozy and the bathrooms were clean AF. We even made new friends in the common room. it was a dope experience for young party-goers like us!
If there was one thing we'd ask for, it would be a chill hangout area with some sick beats. Like, a mini club or something, so we can turn up without leaving the hostel.

The hostel had a really friendly and helpful staff, always ready to assist. the breakfast provided was simple but sufficient, and there was free coffee and tea all day. the rooms were generally clean and spacious. the no-noise after 11pm rule was appreciated, allowing for a peaceful sleep. the location of the hostel was convenient, with easy access to the museum and historical center, making it a nice walk.
There weren't enough outlets for charging phones and other devices, causing some inconvenience. the neighborhood lacked interesting bars and shops nearby.

We got great value for our money with a comfy bunk room all to ourselves, complete with clean bedding and helpful hygiene instructions. The location was perfect, just a short walk along the gorgeous river to the Guggenheim museum. The staff at Akelarre were great, even providing a dog bed and food for our furry friend upon arrival. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat, and even packed us a picnic when we had to leave early in the morning. The friendly atmosphere and multicultural environment made us feel warm and welcome.
The breakfast selection could have been improved with some fresh fruit.

Me and my squad had a blast exploring Bilbao and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The staff was super cool and gave us all the deets on where to find the best parties in town. Plus, they hooked us up with bike rentals so we could cruise around the city like bosses. The best part? The sick location! We were within walking distance of the Guggenheim Museum and the awesome nightlife scene. Can't wait to come back!
If there's one thing that would have made our stay even more epic, it would be a chill rooftop bar or a banging party space. We're all about the nightlife and it would have been dope to have a spot in the hostel where we could dance and meet other party-goers.

I stayed at the Akelarre Hostel in Bilbao for a few nights while walking the Caminho de Santiago. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the hostel encouraged quiet after 11pm. The staff was friendly and quickly resolved a room issue, even giving me a discount. The breakfast was good, the location was safe, and it was only a short walk to the Guggenheim. a great hostel for the price.
Would recommend this hostel.

I loved how they had a shared lounge, so I could sit and pretend to be social without actually talking to anyone. And the free continental breakfast was great. If you like stale bread and cheap coffee.
Oh, but don't get me started on the laundry facilities. It was like playing a game of hide and seek with the washing machines.

Although the hostel is not centrally located, it is easily accessible via the nearby Metro. Despite being on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet.
